Follow through the troubleshooting guides listed below and see if you can resolve the issue. Make sure your hotsync conduits are enabled and set  the conduits to desktop overwrites HH.

Re: Zire 22 Synhronizing

When following the prompt to find the Handheld on the device manager list, what shows up is "Unknown Device"

Re: Zire 22 Synhronizing

Are you sure it is for the Handheld?

Disconnect the Handheld from your PC. Once disconnected, open device manager and see if the unknown device listing is gone. This typically means the Software Driver is not recognized for the device by the PC. It states to remove the device in device manager and attempt another hotsync in the instructions. If it shows up as an unknown device, remove and try a hot sync again. See if it picks up the drivers.

You may need to "clean" uninstall Palm Desktop and re-install to resolve the issue. Search the forums for the "clean" uninstall instructions for your OS, XP or Vista.
