compatibiliy problems between TX and windows 7

I have changed since two days ago my  computer for a new HP lap top, upgraded with Windows 7 and, since that time, my TX refuses to sync. The message says ..'Can't open the port COM1'

I have downloded the new version 6.2 but nothing change. The computer do not recognize the the TX.

Has anyone could provide any solution to me?

Thankfully,

Stéphane (Montréal QC)

Re: compatibiliy problems between TX and windows 7

Hello Stephane and welcome to the Palm forums.

Do you know if your Windows 7 notebook is running a 64-bit version of Windows?  Palm Desktop does not support USB wired syncing since there isn't a 64-bit USB driver available for Palm OS 5 devices.  If you have a Bluetooth radio in your PC, you might be able to sync your TX over Bluetooth to your computer.  Check the Windows HotSync forum (near the top of the list) for directions on how to set up Bluetooth syncing.
