m515 withpassword protection

I cannot sync my m515, but I can use the Desktop which I love.  I just migrated to a new PC with Windows 7.  Problem is I cannot password protect my memo files unless I can sync my m515, which for some reason will not sync.  The question is can I copy over a files from my old desktop that will carry with it the password protection?  By the way I cannot sync on my old laptop with windows XP on it either. No idea why.  Probably the easier item to solve.  I just time out without synicing I am using the USB cradle.

Windows 7 support is limited to best effort and the m515 does is not supported for the newer OS unfortunately. As for Windows XP that is something we can work with. First lets be sure that hotsync is running and setup correctly to see when you try to hotsync. Next to your clock on your PC (Lower right corner). Right click on the hotsync icon. If you do not see it go to Start-->Programs/All Programs-->Palm-->Hotsync Manager. Once you see it running in the bottom corner right click on it again and see if Local USB is selected.
