I've looked through the prior posts to see what I could do. And thus far not found anything that fits my situation. Thus am posting as a newbie to this forum & perhaps others can point me. Have used Palm devices for years with different computers & multiple computers and not a lot of sync issues. Guess there's a first time for everything LOL.
For at least two years, Handheld Sprint Centro syncs without error with Desktop running Windows XP, Office Professional Outlook 2003 (don't have install CD for that install), Palm 6.2.2, except for the PMTRACE error that all have rec'd and I've ignored.
Nov 2010, am trying to sync Handheld with Laptop running Vista 32-bit, Office Professional Outlook 2003 (have install CD for that install), Palm 6.2.2. First sync of Handheld and Laptop was "sync all files" and no errors except the PMTRACE error. And via item count, it appears Handheld, Desktop, and Laptop are in sync. So to test, I entered a new calendar item on the Laptop. Synced Handheld to Laptop and the following errors came. Also I am not able to cut and paste from the sync log, so I will abbreviate the error message.
synchronization aborted
number of OLERR messages
Unable to initialize Outlook. To fix this problem in Outlook open the Help menu and choose Detect and Repair.
And these error messages show up under Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Notes. Which I find odd since I only added a Calendar item. And in Tasks there is only two items as I rarely use Tasks.
I know there are these solutions to try.

Yet don't want to try until I figure out how it could sync one time and then with only one new calendar item, I would get aborted syncs for all.
Appreciate all the help I can get for a non-tech person.
Nina

Hello Community,
Had not seen any response so thought I'd try again.
