My POP email has stopped working properly since the last update. I get the Yellow triangle, but there is no error shown. I have reset the Pre, deleted and re-entered the POP information, no luck. The Pre won't sync automatically to my Comcast email, but as soon as I make a call, it syncs when I end the call. This has only happened since the last update. I can force it to sync manually.

Anyone else?

I have my Comcast email account set to get mail every 15 minutes.  It has worked fine both before and since the last webOS update.

Have you tried resetting the phone?

Yes, I have done a full reset, and deleted and re-added my account. When I go to the inbox, it has a yellow triangle, but if I tap it, there is no error, just the status message. Funny thing is, it always says "NExt update in 0 minutes", even though I have it set to 30 minutes. When I go into my inbox, it does a sync, and every time I end a call, it does a sync. It doesn't do it on it's own. Wierd one!

So, I tried this- I deleted the account, did a backup, a full erase, reloaded my Pre. Reconfigured the account, same weird issues. I also noticed it does not delete items on the server (the option is set to on), and if I delete an item on the server, the Pre doesn't see it as deleted. But so far, the Pre is syncing as it is supposed to, but I still have a yellow erro triangle with no error. Still weird, but at least it is automatically bringing down my mail, which is a big step.

My phone is doing this exact same thing.  I've tried resetting the phone and also tried resetting the email account and neither has worked.  I'd really like to see a fix to this problem.   My gmail account doesn't seem to do this, only my hotmail account...but my hotmail account is the one I primarily use.  I've been trying to figure out if this is a hotmail issue or a phone issue.  Wondering if I should make gmail my primary.  My boyfriend has the same Pre and uses yahoo email and his is working fine.

I am thinking it is something on the mail server. 2 days ago, my Pre started working just fine, when I didn't do anything to my phone. I think there is some weird thing on the mail server causing it, and they fixed it on mine.

In another thread is this suggestion for the Yahoo mail setup:

I removed the "palm" in "palm.smtp.mail.yahoo.com" and "palm.imap.mail.yahoo.com".

This worked for me after multiple tries.   Good Luck

I've been using email for quite some time and suddenly, one of the accounts started getting the yellow triangle.

The odd thing is that the problem is on one of two nearly identical accounts on the same email server.

The other account works fine.

Like the original poster, i can get email manually, just the autosync doesnt happen.

I figured out something about the problem.

It seems there is something about a specific message on the server that is causing the problem (possibly one too large to download?).

Every attempt to sync mail eventually tries to get that same message and the auto sync fails.

I was able to clear it by reducing the "Sync/Show Email" period so that the offensive email was no longer attempted.

This explains why the problem appears to go away on its own.
