I use Alltel for my phone service and use Bellsouth as my internet provider (email). I receive emails just fine but can not send emails. I have mail.bellsouth.net as incoming and outgoing mail server. I'm getting no where reading FAQ's and manuals. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
Check with Bellsouth and make sure that you can send mail to SMTP port 25 from the Alltel network. I'm willing to bet that port 25 from any domain other than Bellsouth's is blocked, which is why you are getting the error on your Treo (on the Alltel network domain).
