Hi,

I have a Pre 2 (unlocked GSM), which always seems to have some problem retrieveing emails from my Yahoo account.  Recently, it seems that it just stop getting my Yahoo emails into Inbox.

I tried "full erase" my Pre 2 and re-setup all my email accounts (GMail, another Yahoo Hong Kong email account), and tried to add back my primary Yahoo email account, it can get emails for other email accounts ok, but just cannot get my primary Yahoo email into the Inbox !!

I can see all my folders under my Yahoo email account.  If I select my Sent Folder, I can see the emails that I sent earlier showing up in the folder.

I still have my Palm Pre running webos 1.4.5, and I still have all my email accounts setup on old Pre.  It has no problem at all to get my Yahoo emails into Inbox.

Any idea why just Pre 2 cannot get Yahoo email into Inbox ?  I tried to setup by adding account using "Yahoo!" or adding account using "Email Account" and manually setup IMAP settings, but nothing worked.

Any idea how to get Yahoo email work again on my Pre 2 ?

I can't really help you with your problem but I am having problems with Yahoo also. I am unable to add Yahoo in accounts to my wife's new Pre2 on Verizon. It sits in the turning circle wait screen for literally hours. I can add other webmail and facebook without problems. But no Yahoo Mail. Anyone with a suggestion to this problem, it seems they are related. Steve

As noted in the post before mine, I cannot help you either I'm afriad.  I have been experiencing the same problem on two different devices (Pre2 and an HTC ThunderBolt).  There seems to be something awry with Yahoo!, as I'm noticing discussions about it all over the web.  For me the problem started about three days ago.  I was going to turn off the TBolt and light up another Pre, but now I'm not so certain.

I've put in a request/inquiry with Yahoo! as I have a paid "plus" account, and use them for hosting too, so I hope I'll hear something soon.  Since they've been making a switch to this new "beta" I'm guessing that is the cultprit, but that doesn't make sense to me, as the beta rollout has been happening for weeks and my email just crapped out on me three days ago...

I removed my yahoo account on my pre2 for almost a week and hope that the problem could magically go away. I re-added my yahoo email on my pre2 again last night. At first, I did not see any emails in my Inbox. Waited overnight, I saw some of my yahoo emails in my Inbox (last 7 days). I thought finally it could get my yahoo email again. But during daytime, I could see my new yahoo email on my old palm pre inbox, but the same mail did not get to my pre2

The problem is so weird, and is so frustrated for not having my emails on pre2. It is bad enough that I could not use my pre2 with my company notes traveler as they said it caused services issue. Now it could not even get my yahoo email !!

I was getting numerous "Check your Yahoo password" errors the past two days, but just sent a test email to my Pre2.  Arrived in seconds on my phone.

Occasionally, I saw this "Yahoo Password" message as well on my old Palm Pre.  I suspected that was just temporary network glitches affecting login.

Anyway, my Pre2 could not receive Yahoo emails yesterday.  I just left it there.  This morning, I was opening up Inbox and check, and magically, it fetched the latest emails into my Inbox including yesterday emails it missed.

Don't understand why.  Maybe I will have to leave it long enough for it to clear up whatever error it has.

For last few days, my Pre2 can receive my Yahoo emails.  Don't know what's wrong before. Anyway it works now.

I've had an issue with my gmail emails.... has anybody else had this? For some reason, it will download some emails, but when I go to my computer, there are more emails that it hasn't downloaded in the 'all emails' folder that don't show up on my pre 2. Any ideas?

I also have the same issue with yahoo mail. I just got a Pre2 unlocked US. I was able to see the yahoo mails till it was on 2.0. Once I updated it to 2.1 yahoo mails do not show up. It shows the yellow triangle with exclamation sign on it. If I click on it it says - Unspecified error:1299 - cookies got from server are empty. Invalid credentials. (MojErr 3)--src/commands/AuthYahooCommand.cpp:182.

I don't have any issue with Pixi plus which runs on 1.4.5

I tried deleting the palm entries from the 'Manage App and website connections' on yahoo login page, as suggested in one of the previous posts, but it also did not help.

Can someone help?

I just upgraded my pre plus to pre2 and cannot set up my yahoo mail to work. I was able to send a mail ( once and t myself) but cannot retrieve anything.

Also the only option to set up the folders are " outbox and inbox, not even a folder to pick for " trash or any other folder I was able to get with my previous version of Palm.

Any clue?
