After the initial joy of finally upgrading to webOS 2.x with new Pre2, Gmail and other email worked normally initially. However, since Sat, Gmail has stopped retrieving new emails. I still seem to be able to make and send an email. Other email client works fine. I have tried deleting and re-creating Gmail account but nothing seems to work. Help please!

I have this exact problem with my Palm Pre2 (webos 2.0.1) on an Exchange Server that connects to our Zimbra mail service. I can create and send emails (and calendar appointments), but the Pre2 won't pull anything back from the Exchange server.
A smartphone that doesn't do email or calendaring is not terribly useful...

I've only used about half my quota... I tried cleaning out the inbox, but it didn't make any difference.

I think your problem is because the internet provider rather than G-Mail server. I got that a lot, especially when I was out on trip, far from the city. sorry for my bad english..

Except my other email was working fine plus I was not outside roaming area and many times at home with wifi. I think just a temporary Gmail side error

I did have the same problem a while back. Rebooted the device and it worked for a while then it went back to the original problem.
I ended up getting a new device.

I have the same problem. Can anyone tell me is this problem appear only in Palm Pr2
