Duh, sorry. I went to Verizon's website and it says right there what to do. If anyone else was having the issue, what you do is go to Start, Settings, Connections, Advanced, click "select networks," and be sure both say "My ISP." I had some other setting in the bottom.
Odd, when I called Verizon about the problem, they never told me about that. Maybe it was so obvious and simple that it was right under their very noses. I used to have "dialing rules" set up also. I happened to do a hard reset, and now notice that dialing rules is no longer selected. If you have dialing rules checked, don't. Not if you were having the same problems I was, anyway.
