Tmobile is a GSM network. The Sprint Pre is on a CDMA network.
They don't work together... ![]()

Same problem. GSM devices do not work with CDMA networks and vice-versa! ![]()
I'm still using a Centro, so I can't offer any opinions on the Pro, sorry.

Although the Sprint version of the Treo Pro cannot work with a GSM SIM card, there is an unlocked GSM version (unsubsidized).
I haven't tried either of them myself except to poke the keyboards for a few minutes at the store.

Sorry can u tell me what this means to me. there is an unlocked GSM version (unsubsidized). If i find one like that will it work with the card from tmobile. I am an oncall nurse and need to find a phone fast. I have been a long time palm user. Had the 650 and two 680. Need one with more memory. The 680 bboth of them the speakers went one same thing on both. So really do not want to go there again, cannot afford it. So switched to a blackberry really do not like that one.. Have to get a phone quick. thanks for all your help

An "unlocked" phone has the Palm logo rather than a particular carrier's logo on it, and it should work with any carrier's SIM card.
Because the unlocked Treo Pro is relatively expensive, you might not find it in any store. But you can find it online, for example:

The Treo Pro runs Windows Mobile, while the 650 and 680 ran PalmOS. There are lot of differences; in particular, if you use any applications written for PalmOS, you might not be able to find them for Windows. However, setting that issue aside, the 5-way controller and touchscreen will be much more like your past devices than the Blackberry's scrollerball control. On balance, you'll probably be happier with a Windows Treo.
