Hello!
After hearing a few of these, Ive discovered that the Advanced Gesturing option found on Screen & Lock is creating an influence here. Your could set it to off to resolve this without a change in your behavior but really just start the left gesture futher away from the card button so the device does not think your trying to do the gesture to switch between cards. Enjoy!
