I love my touchstone but I do need a stronger battery for the pre. Why doesn't pre make a back casing that works with both -.-

Hello!

Currently Palm does not distribute extended batteries as of right now for the Pre so that is why such cover does not exist.  Since these batteries are all 3rd-party it would be their responsibility to make such cover to accommodate their battery.

hmm you've got me there but is palm planning on making there own extended batteries I love my touchstone but I really need more power. Please don't make us choose

+1 - with the way this phone eats thru battery life it would be a great thing to have

I agree, I am a touchstone user, and try to steer away from 3rd party accessories for my devices (usually nothing but problems), but the Pre's battery life is abysmal.  I was always a daily charger anyway, and always a heavy internet and phone user, but sometimes I get in the red in just a day's use.  Need to see a palm/touchstone supported extended battery (standard for future purchasers so they don't have these issues)

I'm also a heavy user, and had an extended battery for my treo.  This pre's battery is a real problem.  Going to try using a car charger during the day for now, but they really MUST come out with an extended battery that's compatible with the touchstone.

How about cradle for the car with a built in touchstone, that way you wouldnt have to fiddle with a charger cable and the cradle would make sit securely.
