When I pull up facebook in the web broswer, the facebook masthead comes up, but the newsfeed won't load - the bars just keep scrolling.  I can go to the profile page, the friends page, etc., but not the newsfeed.  Any ideas what is wrong and how I can fix it?

I am having the same problem.  Please fix it!!!  Just started today.  Also why won't the screen stay stable on this forum for their own device?

Hello and welcome to the forums;

Have you tried using the facebook application available in the app catalog? I've linked the web distribution page for the Facebook app here, and tested it on a device here. The newsfeed works great in the app. Since it looks like this just started, there may have been a change with how Facebook displays their newsfeed in the mobile browser.

I'll forward this along, however I strongly suggest using the app as it provides additional functionality than the mobile page.

I am using the app on the pre and it will not load facebook.  In order to see facebook, I have to open it via facebook.com.  This so frustrating.  I have reset my phone several times without success.

Are you certain you've tried using the Facebook app that I linked to in my previous post? Looking at your profile records, I Don't see a download record for that app. It also was just recently updated to 1.2, so try opening your App Catalog, tapping on the shopping cart and see if there is an update available or if the app is listed at all.

As I mentioned, I'll have the website issue forwarded along, but it is possible the issue is on Facebook's side as well. I have seen and tested the 1.2 Facebook App to work.

I use Facebook Ap 1.2.0 for Palm Pre and this morning it quit updating the status. I can see all my notifications, pictures, news, events, even go to links, friends, etc. Everything works except the status updates. I uninstalled Facebook Ap 1.2.0 and reinstalled. I also deleted my FB contacts. I have completely shut down my phone after each step. I am still having the problem using both the Pre web browser and the Facebook Ap.

OK, I don't know what happened but Facebook Ap and Facebook on Pre browser started working again.  I didn't do anything different or change a thing.

When I clicked on your link, it told me that the app is no longer available. That's what it says when I look in the app catalouge too

That's because currently the search function for the app catalog is down. We are aware of this problem, as it is affecting searches on device as well as direct web links.

Unfortunately we don't have an ETA for when the search function will be back online, however you can still browse apps through categories.

when i read the reviews from people's experience with the app - many are saying what i am saying - it doesn't work.  i have been able to connect to facebook, with not problem, since i got the phone - i never downloaded an app - when i tap web, it takes me to a screen where i can push for facebook and it just goes, only now it doesn't go.
