Hello,
This has happend some times before.
It works out in the way that suddenly my phone does not respond to the keyboard slider or the button on top to turn on the screen.
I have to take out the battery and start it over to make it respond again.
Tonight, I got a update through the update manager and installed it, 2.2.0.x something.
Now, if I call up a number which requires me to use the keypad to make choices, I am unable to use the screen.
I can press numbers through the keyboard, and after the call - the screen is black and does not respond to anything.
I also have to reset my phone again to get it working.
Any suggestions?

It seems like I am unable to activate the screen when the phone is active. If the call gets hung up by the other party, the screen is activated again..

It happens because the screen protector that is delivered with the pre 3 is of bad quality and messes up the proximity sensor.

Screen protector? Most HP webOS phones are shipped with a clear piece of plastic to prevent scratches while in the box. It was never meant to be used while the phone is active.
(Admittedly, since the Pre3 isn't sold here yet, I'm not familiar with the contents of the box!)

Correct, it's a piece of clear plastic that i have left on the device while waiting for something better to use for protecting the screen - which I usally manage to scratch up.
Eitherhow, it would be great if the button to turn on the screen could override the proximity sensor.
