Hi!
i am on pre3 now, version 2.2.0, build 3171. It worked fine for a week, but now in 2 days I see random restarts, 3-4 yesterday, 1-2 today. Quick test is fine. No serious tweaks. Restarts seem to relate to calling (start, during or after call reset).
Any ideas welcome.

Kaido

multiple tries of 'erase apps and data' has not helped, so I am considering doctoring.

well, while palm profile allows to select 'get webos doctor' it redirects and then says that the serial no is not valid. I got the same issue when applying for part refund because of firesale: support came back saying the serial is invalid. Definitely seems to be an issue with Pre3 serials there somewhere.

Take a look here for webOS Doctor versions for your Pre 3: http://www.webos-internals.org/wiki/Webos_Doctor_V

I doctored about a 6 weeks ago, and it random restats disappeared, until I:
a) logged into skype account,
b) removed skype account (it seemed to eat all my battery).
Thereafter I started to have random restarts again.
And the first time the trandom restarts started (2 months ago), was also after removing skype account. Now, I am doctoring again, will not sign into skype account, and if you do not hear from me, it might mean that the culprit (for me) is in removing skype account.

this did not help. 4 random restarts since doctoring. will doctor again and will try to live a minimalistic life of pre3.

I feel a bit desparate. Dear techsupport, is there a tool to track down the source of the problem?
Symptom: random restart at either beginning/middle/termination of phonecall. May relate to large number of contacts from google/exchange.

Hmm, if Doctors haven't helped it could be a hardware problem. You should give a call to HP Support and work with them regarding this problem.

I agree, it might be hardware. But before that, is there an easy way to check if the synergy databases 'look' ok? I can manage command line, etc.
