Dear support,
During a phone call (that has lasted sometimes few minutes, sometimes few seconds) Pre2 says "call to this address cannot be placed without authorisation" and disconnects the call. What could be the reason? This phone has been in use in the same netowrk/user from Sept 2011 with no problems so far. Latest upgrade was made some weeks/months ago when it became available. This started happening few days ago.
br,
Kaido

Hi Kaido,
for some time now, maybe 1 or 2 months, I receive the same message. I am using the same carrier for 6 months.
I don't think that the 2.2.1 update is causing the issue. It seems, at least in my case, as if a bad wireless connection is causing this issue, but I am not sure since up to now it interrupts only calls to one special number and short after start the call. (about 2 or 3 minutes)
And also this message is very specific and strange and I do not really understand its meaning.

I will admit, I don't know GSM devices all that well (I'm much, much more familiar with CDMA stuff), but this sounds more like the carrier limiting something on your account or the SIM card. Have you tried calling the carrier and making sure they aren't restricting the call?

Hello
I'm getting the same symptoms- calls randomly drop after a short time- and the same message. And, it has only started happening in the past few weeks or so. It's on a Palm Pre 2 (and everything seems to be up to date on the phone).
For me it seems to happen on all types of call- to landlines, other mobiles, etc. I called the carrier network support line (Vodafone, UK, in my case) and they confirmed that there are no blocks or anything like that on my account (and my first call to them dropped with the same message!). I confirmed this by using the same SIM in another phone.
I found this board by Googling the message string, and this seems to be the only page that has the whole message so it seems that it's not especially common. Although it does seem to have started happening to all of us around the same time...

I'm also experiencing the same problem. Using Palm Pre 2 Unlocked GSM-North America model with Smart Telecommunications in the Philippines.
